This is my second design idea for my magazine front page. I decided after the initial plan for my magazine cover I would like to include a full page photo as I don't want my front cover to have blank spaces or look plain. I like busy magazines with things going on, and by making the photo full page means there will not be any empty spaces and the people will be drawn to the whole cover and not just the individual photos.
Here is my design idea for my school magazine contents page. I have chosen a fairly simple design, as a contents page features a lot of writing and so the simpler the page is, the easier it is to read and focus on whats on each page. I have included 4 photos by the side of the text box, so that I can link up some of the page numbers with the photos to draw the reader in to the most important articles. I have layered some of the photos as I prefer a more modern stylish look and think that layering photos shows experience and planning, instead of just blocking the photos underneath eachother which can look boring and simple. I want my magazine and contents page to be aimed at the parents and children, and to do this it needs to be informative for the parents, however have an interesting deisgn and photos for the children. I do not want my magazine and contents page to look like a newspaper - structured and predictable, as it needs to appeal to a wide age range.
